Best Teacher of the Year Award

Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha’s coveted Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi Best Teacher of the Year Award for 2006 was conferred on Guru Rajee, in a grand ceremony, on 16th September at Sri Shanmukhananda Chandrasekarendra Saraswathy Auditorium, Mumbai.

The citation was awarded by senior music vidwan, Sri P.S. Narayanaswamy. Sri V. Shankar, President, Sri Shanmukhananda Fine Arts & Sangeetha Sabha presented Guru Rajee with a silver lamp and cash award. The ceremony was followed by Guru Rajee’s melodious renderings of M.S.S.’s songs.
