Shoba Narayan has been training dancers in Guru Rajee's baani for several years. Many of her students have completed their Bharatanatyam Arangetram and continue to learn from her. Her annual programme featuring her students has become an event to look forward to; her students enjoy learning from her and dancing with her. She seeks to keep Indian traditions alive in the US, contributing in her own way, to further the cause of Indian dance.

Shoba NarayanShe is an imaginative choreographer, who loves experimenting with new songs, keeping within the vast framework that her chosen dance form affords her. Her dances like Vande Mataram, performed again this year under public demand, are greatly appreciated by the Indian community in Cleveland. Shoba continues to learn from her Guru and hopes to join in on her Guru's 75th birthday celebrations in India, in August, 2006.
