Sreedevi Rao began her training in Bharatanatyam at age five from Guru Rajee. She performed her Arangetram in 2002.

She won the coveted ‘Most Promising Dancer of the Year’ award and rolling trophy, instituted by the South Indian Education Society’s Ex-students’ Association, Matunga, Mumbai, for the year 2003-2004. Currently studying in std. XI, Sreedevi has participated in many dance programmes held by her school and the Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisation and also in Nritya Geethanjali group programmes.

Bright in academics, she has won many inter-school quiz competitions, elocutions and athletics. She has learnt karate and has participated in district and state level matches. Sreedevi considers herself very fortunate to be a shishya of Guru Rajee.
